A special milestone: 100,000 students!

Laugh

We've reached 100,000 students on Zinch. Now that, my friends, is pretty awesome. Who would've thought that it would have come this far so quickly. It's starting to catch students like an epidemic, a virus. Our initial goals were to have 20,000 by June 1st. We've done 5x that goal. It's insane.

Our company has grown to 25 people. We've outgrown our offices twice. All 50 states are represented in our student database. Over 90 countries. 13,000 high schools. And Yup, 100,000 students. Cool.

It's almost been three months now and boy, has it been the ride of a lifetime. From counselor conferences, student events and admissions offices....to partnership meetings, late night brainstorming, and critical decision-making.....this has been one great ride.

Not just because of the early success we've encountered. It runs deeper than that. Rather, it's because we know, our entire team knows, that we are making a positive difference in society. We are giving high school students the tools to really shine, to really showcase their greatness. It's fulfilling. I love Zinch!

Jaclyn:

I love zinch! It's so useful and helpful for students. I was wondering when "The Love" feature would be available...

Mick:

"The Love" will be released within the next couple weeks. Stay tuned...it's gonna be awesome!

Jacob:

The type-setting system that I use now outputs in pdf format, which I find rather annoying, as that format isn't allowed in the images section, and the writing section is text only. Also, I have participated in several math competitions, but they don't quite fit in the extra-curricular activities section. I think it would be beneficial to create a section specifically for contests and competitions, that would allow students to give more than a one-line description, within the Zinch profiles. I think these additions would help many students to destinguish themselves from the croud.

Mick:

Jacob, we are working on these additions. Soon you'll be able to do all that you want. Thanks for the feedback.

I really like Zinch! Now, I wish I had taken more pictures or made more videos of the stuff I did so I could post it in my z-folio. But it's all good - I've just been posting my artwork instead - which is nice. Anyway, this is a great website - it's a cool and not-so-intimidating approach to the college search and all the confusing stuff that goes along with it. I wish this had been around four years ago when I was a freshman. It's really cool!

Loganne:

This really is an amazing organization. I recently graduated from high school and, unfortunately, I am unable to use zinch for college searches and all the other wonderful things it was produced to do. I do, however, love the profile and its objectives. I was just wondering if there was anything that I could do do help the site as a high school grad. It seems you all devote much of your time and if I could alieviate any pressure or simply give a hand, I would be more than happy.

Thanks :)

Erin Daubert:

Yeah, I don't really remember how I found zinch.com, but I think it's an amazing site and am so glad I did. It's nice to belong to a group of people who care about me as an individual, not me as a body to market advertisements to. Thanks for everything!

Britt:

awesome!! Congrats!!
