Scholarship Update!! (and funny video at end)

Important news for all scholarship applicants (and at the end of this post is a funny video). We've been getting all sorts of calls and emails today asking about when it is that we'll announce our scholarship winners. We had sent out an email a couple weeks ago informing everyone that it'd be announced today, June 15th. We've had an incredible amount of applicants....so it's taken us a lot longer than we anticipated, looking at all the candidates.

Anyway, so this is the official announcement. Finalists will be notified early next week via email. The winners will be announced on this blog on Wednesday the 27th of June -- in a week and a half.

Sorry again for any inconveniences that this has caused. Hope you all have a great weekend. And since i'm here...and you're here....I might as well put up a funny video.

First off....you all rock. You guys are what make Zinch....well....Zinch. Ngoc, to answer your question, Finalists are not winners. Finalists are the last pool of applicants before we choose the actual winners. It's been incredibly tough competition this year, so please, no one feel bad if you aren't selected. Hopefully this upcoming year, we'll have more scholarships to offer.

The only reason that you wouldn't have received an email is if a) you didn't give it to us b) you typed it incorrectly in you profile.

So make sure you double-check in your profile that your email address is correct.

And, I wrote it in correctly on my profile, and I've received emails from you guys in the past. :-( Anyway, though I'd like for you to make the best decision possible, please, don't forget that there are many of us on the other side, waiting, PRAYING to be one of the finalists and, ultimately, the winner! Another reason why people may not have gotten the e-mail is becasue it was probably sent to "bulk" e-mail, or spam. My e-mail was sent to the "bulk" folder. All you have to do is open the message and click, "Not spam" or something of that nature at the top of the message and then it will ask if you want to put the e-mail address on the "safe" list. Just click "yes" and you'll be set. :)

To answer a few of your questions peeps....

The Flavor is gonna rock everyone's world. Stay tuned...we'll be talking more about it in the upcoming weeks. It'll be the way students express themselves as a group rather than as individuals.

For every 10 students that applied for our scholarships, there was 1 finalist. We won't disclose exactly how many people applied...but it was tons! The competition was fierce.

If you haven't gotten an email yet. Chill. This upcoming week we'll announce the winners here on this blog. If you didn't win, we'll still send you an email. Remember, check your spam filters. Make sure the zinch emails are getting through. Also, double-check your profile to make sure that your email addresses are correct.

Nuff said. Zinch for life.
