Facebook. A common denominator among those leading

We've spoken with a handful of our leading contestants to try and get some ideas and suggestions to help the rest of the field get votes. Yes, we get a lot of the normal (yet still very effective) methods like radio, flyers, posters, news stations, newspapers, online forums, youtube, etc. But one of the common denominators of these contestants is one thing: facebook (and other social network sites too). Facebook is one of the main reasons that many of our leading contestants have achieved a high number of votes. They've sent messages, wrote on friends' walls, created events...and above all: they've created groups dedicated at getting their friends to vote for them.

Let's put down the list of a handful of facebook groups created by some of our leading vote-getters. As of 2:00am early Thursday morning....this is where a bunch of people stand. It's not a coincidence that these contestants are leading in votes and also have a facebook group. Click on the name of the person below to visit their group to see what they've done and get ideas.

Eric Anderson (1st place in North #1) - has 361 members in the group
Sylvia Liu (1st place in West #2) - has 105 members
Kirk Vaclavik (1st in South #5) - has 212 members
Elijah Mercer (1st place in East #3) - has 102 members
Noelle Vong (1st place in West #1) - has 139 members
Mackezie Osypian (1st place East #2) - has 73 members
Christianne Lucas (2nd place in West #3)
Michael Habashi (2nd place in West #2)
Adrienne Poplawski (2nd place in North #3)
Carolina Espejo-Saenz (2nd place in East #1)
Karlee Blank (2nd place in East #3)
Po Han Pan (2nd place in East #1)
Phuong Duong (2nd place in South #1)
Xavier Billingsley (3rd place in South #1)
Johnny Fells (3rd place in South #3)
Patrick Kennedy (3rd place in North #2)
Sunny Song (3rd place in East #3)
Thomas Chen (3rd place in East #4)
Brittany Trimble (3rd place in South #4)

If you haven't already created a facebook group, create one!. Trust us, it'll help out a lot. Also, be creative on the naming of the facebook group....it might make a difference in getting it viral. Create a group. Invite all your friends to join. Get them to vote for ya! If you push hard with facebook groups....they can work!!

k...i'm gonna go to bed now. I'm tired.

Hi, I'm just wanted to let you know that you had made a mistake. You put Lucas as 2nd place in West #3 when she is in third place. Colleen Ma is second place and leading Lucas by about 20 votes. Just trying to help keep your blog as accurate as possible. =D

Thanks
