Are you a senior on a budget?
We all know that being a high school senior can be very expensive and in the end, senior year will most likely empty out your pockets. As we return back to school, ready to face senior year, most of us are full of pride from almost having survived the majority of high school. We are now the big kids on campus therefore we somehow must devise a way to let the entire student population at our school know that we are seniors, the rockin’ class of 2009. What is, you ask, the easiest way to show off our senior-ness? BY WEARING CROWNS!!
Crowns are lots of fun to wear and to decorate, plus, they are down right cheap! Get a group of friends together at someone’s house, split up the costs, and then bask in the senior crown-making excitement! Almost all the materials needs can be found at your local Michael's (where I went) or just about any arts and crafts store. What you’ll need: A foam crown or tiara of any color (pink, yellow, purple) depending on your preference: each cost $1 Box full of foam letters, numbers, and punctuation marks: $8 Bag full of foam stickable shapes (there are various shapes so choose whichever tickles your fancy): $2.99 A rooster...to play with if you get bored :) : I'm not too sure how much a rooster sells in today's market. Glue stick (for the foam pieces that don’t come with sticky backs): $1 Scissors (not exactly necessary but they come in handy just in case you want to cut something up): price varies but chances are you already have one Finger food: you all will get hungry in the process so be sure to bring some yummy snacks. Instructions: 1. Choose your crown or tiara and the color. 2. Lay it so that it is flat and begin to decorate! 3. Maybe even make one for your favorite English teacher: 3. Celebrate in all your senior glory! Warning: You and your friends will most likely make a huge mess so be sure you and your buddies are equally willing to help out with the clean-up. You don't to be left alone with this:

Senior year doesn’t have to equal zero money in your savings account. There are plenty of ways to still enjoy your senior year like this one, that don’t involve killing your piggy bank.
Hope you all have a great first day of school, whether you’re a senior or a freshman!
